SOC 1: Reports on controls relevant to user entities' internal control over financial reporting. Primarily used by financial auditors of customer companies.
SOC 2: Reports on controls relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, or privacy. This is the most common type and is used to assure customers about data security and privacy.
SOC 3: A more general report based on SOC 2 criteria, but designed for public distribution. It doesn't include detailed test results.
